Rueben Bread

 

INGREDIENTS:

1 Pkg. Rapid Rise Yeast
3 1/4 C. Flour
1 Tbs.. Sugar
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbs.. Margarine
1 1/4 C. Milk
1 Can Corned Beef (2 if you really like it)

1 Bag or 1 Can Sauerkraut (rinsed and drained)

Thousand Island Dressing

3 Tsp. Ground Caraway Seeds
Sliced Swiss Cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

Mix together yeast, 2 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and caraway seeds in mixer.

Heat milk and margarine to 130º. Pour into dry ingredients and mix well.

Knead 10 minutes, cover and let rest 10 minutes. Roll dough to 13 X 9 rectangle. Spread with dressing and pour corned beef down center of rectangle.

Cover with sauerkraut and cheese.

Cut diagonal slices in dough and alternately fold over filling.

Seal ends and let rise till double (about 45 minutes.) Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
