Simple Baking Powder Kuchen
Dough

This is a quick Kuchen dough using a baking mix like
Bisquick T You probably won't be able to tell much difference between this and a classic yeast Kuchen dough. I used them with this recipe
of plum kuchen cupcakes called Pflaumen Tassen Kuchen.

Place the baking mix in a large mixing bowl.

Make a well in the center and add the eggs Whisk the eggs then add the milk and blend in.
Add the softened butter and lemon peel and lightly blend in. Don't overmix.

This dough can be chilled for a day until ready to use.

Using the filling for Pflaumen Kuchen or German plum kuchen I made these
Pflaumen Tassen Kuchens. Use the same steps as in this recipe

Grease the muffin tin well and put a very small about of dough in the bottom.
Fill with plums, then custard filling and the streusal topping.

Bake for about 35 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool slightly before you take them out.
Serve with whipped cream.
