How to Make White Castle Sliders

The History of White Castle Sliders

I found some mini burger buns, but you can also use a hot dog roll
and cut it down. You need to use a very light squishy roll to be authentic.

I got some good quality hamburger. reconstituted 1/ 2 cup of dried onion
flakes.

Roll them out between wax paper or similar and then cut them in
3 inch sqaures. Into the freezer these will go for an hour.

I am cutting 5 holes with a clean pen top. in the foreground is
a White Castle slider that I bought to compare.

Back into the freezer for a little bit. This makes them easy to
handle.

Heat the pan and add the onions and water. Place the patties on
top of the burgers. Let them cook for about 3 minutes. Do not flip.

Put the lid of the bun face down on top of the patty, and then the bottom bun
face down. Let these cook for another few minutes.

To assemble lift a burger up with a Spatula.

Take the bottom bun off and place under the spatula, to complete
The burger.

Add cheese

or pickle if desired

These are ready to eat!
