Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving
tomorrow.

Germany has a Thanksgiving Festival
that was early in October, but I wanted you to
check it out.

It is called ........

Erntadankfest
(German Style Thanksgiving)

Erntadankfest is similar to Thanksgiving in the US. It is usually in the first week of October but there is
no definitive time so it can be as late as November.

I think it is fun to view the differences in celebration between these countries that have
a bond together.

While the celebration in the US is centered around the family getting together for a nice meal
and see those relatives, parents, or children you haven't seen in a while and catch up.
From what I see in Germany there is a festival, a nice parade with farm themed floats with a sense of humor,
vintage farm vehicles beautiful displays of vegetables, chickens and .....

...... the Erntekrone "crown of wheat" that celebrates the harvest,
with food, dance and games.

If there was one place I would like to visit for Erntedankfest
it would be,

Historic Erntedankfest in Blankenheim- Dollendorf 01.10.2017

This is a nice video with the coolest parade with vintage vehicles, young children on unicycles, and a horse drawn forge, to name a few. Well worth the watch.

It looks so inviting I would love to go
