Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Per Cup
2 oz of Kuchen Dough
1/2 cup chopped Fruit, like Apple, Plum, Blueberries
2-3 tablespoons Custard, Cream, or Sweetened Yogurt
1 tablespoon Streusel
Baking Powder Kuchen Dough
Custard Filling
1 beaten Egg
1 cup cream or 1 / 2 cup Sour Cream with 1 / 2 cup Milk
2 tablespoon Sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
Streusel or CrumbTopping
1 / 2 cup Flour or Bread Crumbs
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
2 tablespoons melted Butter
Whipped cream or other topping
Directions:
1. Roll out the Basic Kuchen Dough about 1/4 inch thick and cut with a mason jar lid or anything that works.
2. Weigh out the Kuchen dough to "about" 2 oz. You don't want to get too much or too little.
The balance between crust, custard and filling should be about even.
3. Put the crust into a buttered Ramekin, or a similar kind of dish.
4. Pre bake the crust to get a nice brown on it. I air fried this at 375 degrees for 6 minutes, varies so
keep a good eye the first time out and check it early.
When you find out the exact time write it down for future reference.
5.Here I have my ingredients together, that I have preopared in advance
so I can make these quickly and on the fly.
The apple I cut up and baked in the air fryer for 8 min. with some butter and vanilla extract.
The custard I generally make either out of cream, yogurt or cottage cheese, depending on what I have on hand. This way I can buy the larger economical cartons of yogurt and Cottage Cheese.
Generally I mix 1 egg with 1 cup of cream, yogurt or blended cottage cheese, 1 tablespoon sugar and some vanilla extract. I keep any remainder in the fridge.
6. Add the apples and some of the custard. 2-3 tablespoons of the custard filling.
7. Add a tablespoon or so of Streusel and some more apples to top it.
I always want the fruit to show when baked and not be completely covered.
8. I baked this for about 6 min at 375. But it depends on your air fryer. This doesn't take long because the apples werecooked in advance. If the fruit is raw or has a high water content, it will take longer to brown.
9. Layer the plums and the custard. I have previously frozen these plum sections.
10. The top layer will be Streusel and last some pieces of plum,
so the finished product will show the nice color and shape of the fruit.
11. Bake the kuchen at 375 and this took 15 min at 375 degrees twHere is the finished Kuchen ice as long as the apple
as there was so much moisture in the fruit.
