My name is Chef Warren Lower and I'm your host on this site. We will review
Australian styles and trends in food cooking, preparation and ingredients
used in our multicultural society of Australia. I hope to convey to you in
terms that you will understand, the blending we now have in this country
due to our diverse society.
To give you a bit of my background, I have been
in the hospitality industry for 28 years as both a qualified Chef and Hotel
Manager. I love cooking weather it's for hundreds of people or just for my
family.
I'm not a top; well known internationally
acclaimed Chef, just a Chef who cooks and creates in a small suburban hotel.
Chef who loves cooking and would love to share my love of cooking the Aussie
way and convey some of the changes that have occurred in this country over
the last few years.
From the introduction of Bush tucker food ingredients
derived from our indigenous Aborigines to the blending of different cultures
that has become Australia
Through this column I will try and pass on ways of cooking, different styles
and some shortcuts and pit falls that will save you time, money and frustration.
And we will hopefully have some fun along the way.
We will present recipes that everyday Aussie's cook.We dont all eat kangaroo,emu
or crocodile every day.But we are adventurous all the same.
We will talk about soup an entrée or main course and a dessert each
week
And from feedback so far,will also inform you if a recipe is suitable for
freezing.
