SUGAR GLAZED NUTS

Ingredients
1 egg white
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 pound Pecans, hazelnuts, or Walnut Halves

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 225°. Oil or spray a rimmed baking sheet.
2. In a small bowl, whisk egg white until foamy. Add sugar and salt, whisking until well blended.
3. Add nuts and stir with a fork until evenly coated.
4. Pour onto prepared baking sheet. Spread in an even layer. Bake for 60 minutes, turning and stirring with a spatula after 30 minutes. Nuts will be slightly soft, but will firm up as they cool.

5. Cool completely. Break apart any nuts that stick together.
Store in an airtight container. Freeze to store for over a week.

Try it on a salad with slivers of chicken breast and some fresh peach slices.
